Fort Bragg soldier watches birth of son on Skype on Mother's Day

A Fort Bragg soldier stationed in Afghanistan was able to witness the birth of his son through Skype.It was a special Mother’s Day weekend for Staff Sgt. Theron Scott and his wife Aimee.Scott helped his wife deliver their son, William, through a computer screen.This was the fourth Skype birth for Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.Hospital officials said they plan to schedule more so fathers don’t miss delivery.
