Health Carousel Philippines announces commitment to advanced nursing education via funding of scholarships.
As the global demand for skilled nurses continues, the Philippines' nursing schools will benefit from a POEA-Licensed Healthcare Recruitment Agency's support of 10 nursing educators. Health Carousel Philippines, a partner to US healthcare recruitment firm Health Carousel International, has committed to funding 10 scholarships for nursing faculty seeking a master's or Doctoral nursing degree. This significant investment will fund students' course tuition, books, and associated fees at selected nursing schools.
In May 2022, the Health Carousel Philippines' 'Light the Way' Program announced its intention to sponsor the 10 Graduate Degree in Nursing Scholarships. This initiative supports the company's commitment to promoting ethical, sustainable nurse recruitment programs throughout the Philippines. Health Carousel, LLC, the firm's US-based partner, is also dedicated to achieving this admirable goal.
Each superior nursing education institution will choose one or two 'Light the Way' Nurse Scholars. The school's Dean of the College of Nursing will nominate the recipients based on three criteria. Candidates will be selected based on academic excellence, contribution to nursing practice, and their singular desire to perform a nurse educator role.
Through the scholarships' funding, Health Carousel Philippines will help to produce additional master's-prepared and doctorate-prepared nursing faculty. These highly accomplished nursing professionals will infuse a new generation of nursing students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in patient care.
Connie de la Cruz, Health Carousel Philippines' Co-Founder and Chairman, addresses concerns about the wisdom of sending healthcare professionals to work in other countries. "There has been an ongoing debate as to whether it is good to send so many of our healthcare professionals abroad, especially during the pandemic.
'Opposing sides say this is brain drain, nurses say it is their right to seek better opportunities overseas, and others say remittances are necessary to the economy. Still, others say higher wages in different occupations are luring nurses away.
'I'm happy to say that Health Carousel Philippines and its 'Light the Way' Scholarship Program is a good thing, regardless of which side of the debate you are on. I'm happy that our success as an organization has afforded us the great honor to be a part of shaping the future of Philippines nursing for years to come. The training of one nurse educator can supply our country and the world with hundreds of nurses in the future,' she concludes.
Health Carousel Philippines, a POEA-Licensed Healthcare Recruitment Agency, provides healthcare professionals with career opportunities in the United States. The firm has been noted for its leadership in assisting healthcare professionals throughout the Philippines. In addition, Health Carousel Philippines has received recognition for integrating ethical practices into every aspect of its operations.
Health Carousel Philippines' innovative 'Light the Way' Program affirms the company's commitment to further invest in Filipino healthcare professionals' ethical treatment and sustainability. In 2021, the agency conducted multiple Nurse Licensure Exam Masterclasses. These intensive instructional sessions are designed to help nurses pass the PRC Board Exam, already delayed for up to 19 months.
In addition to the PRC Board Exam preparation, the 'Light the Way' Program sponsors Faculty Development Training. This targeted program helps nursing faculty to better adapt to virtual teaching methods. In 2022, the Health Carousel Philippines 'Light the Way' Program continues to sponsor both well-regarded efforts.
Health Carousel Philippines, in conjunction with Health Carousel, LLC, continues to promote excellence in nursing throughout the Philippines. Together, the organizations partner with the DAISY Foundation, honoring extraordinary nurses with the highly valued DAISY Award.
The DAISY Award recognition program enhances nurse engagement and facilitates a healthy work environment. In turn, the nurses, their patients, and their communities benefit from the nurses' commitment and dedication to their work.
Health Carousel International, a division of Health Carousel, LLC, is a respected international healthcare recruitment agency. The firm's PassportUSA Program cultivates a growing network of qualified and credentialed healthcare professionals.
These Registered Nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and medical technologists each average eight years of experience. In addition, each healthcare professional's education and training exceed common United States standards or practice.
When PassportUSA healthcare professionals arrive for their United States assignments, they are ready for work. They have successfully completed the required U.S. clinical readiness training. In addition, each healthcare professional has the required licenses, credentials, and work authorization in place.
Throughout each assignment, the PassportUSA clinical team provides ongoing supervision and training. The team also ensures that each healthcare professional continues to meet proper licensing, credentialing, and CEU credits requirements.
Health Carousel International has been recognized for its commitment to global ethical recruitment standards. The firm has been designated a Certified Ethical Firm by the Alliance for Ethical International Recruitment Practices.
In addition, Health Carousel International continues its mutually beneficial partnership with the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration (or POEA). The Health Carousel Philippines' 'Light the Way' Program will help to ensure the Philippines community benefits from the firm's ethical and sustainable healthcare recruitment practices.
