Sylvia Rossouw, a distinguished art and architectural designer, has served the art business for over twenty years. Over years of continuous study she was able to sharpen and refine her skills. The South African native is renowned for her adept knowledge and creations locally and is quickly gaining international attention.

I caught up on some of her work and noticed how committed she is to her community. She's been a part of a slew of projects and organized solo shows in her region. I like her investment in the region in which she was born and raised. At the KKNK Annual National Arts Festival and the International Green Green Conference, she presented solo displays. Sylvia was involved in a variety of participatory projects that benefited the community, including a fundraiser auction called Shhhhhh! and a community mural project at the Khayelitsha library on Nelson Mandela Day.

Under the curatorship of President Quirino Martellini, Sylvia Rossouw was featured in an international exhibition titled La Lunigiana e la sua Anima Etrusca. At the Biennale Internazionale Dell' Etruria, Della Rinchiostra, Pamphili, Massa (MS) in the month of September 2021. Futhermore the Art Directors Carlo Greco and Alessandra Magni were the curators at the M.A.D.S. Gallery in Milan and Fuerteventura where Sylvia's work was included in the international exhibition Aldila' beyond the obvious. She is unquestionably a productive woman. So far, she is already set to return to the M.A.D.S. Gallery in November 2021 and December 2022, under the curatorial direction of Carlo Greco and Alessanda Magni.

In addition to improving the community and completing projects, Sylvia Rossouw also owns a studio in Cape Town, South Africa, named Sylvia Rossouw Studio. Since 1995, Sylvia has operated her studio. I truly believe that she is enthralled by the prospect of using art as a vehicle for expressing herself. One of her favorite places to retreat, reflect, and ponder is within her own mind. I think it's powerful that she's able to identify and accept whatever challenges she's faced with and transcribe it through her art.
